Last week my husband had to have a procedure and he had complications, so it was very stressful and scary. All the help was wonderful, but Chantel especially went out of her way to help. Two days later when he was about to be discharged he had an unexpected stroke and thankfully Chantel was right in the room with us when it happened. She quickly responded by doing all the stroke testing and prepared us by telling us that she was calling for help. Immediately the room and hall were filled with professional help who showed us such empathy.
Two days later the doctor was ready to discharge my husband but Chantel was able to see that he was not ready to come home. She called the doctor to let him know how weak he still was and our concern about the danger of him falling especially since he was on certain medications. Arrangements were made to get him into a Rehabilitation Center to regain strength. Chantel helped us so much through such a scary stressful time. We laughed together, we cried together, and formed a lasting bonding friendship.

In January my Dad was being released to go home after having stents placed. Chantel noted a change in him and called for stroke assistance. We are all so thankful for her awareness and not releasing him. She came back and continued to check on him without him being one of her patients. Truly loving care! We truly owe his life to her! He is back home and much improved due to her quick action! We so appreciate our dear caring nurses!
