Casey is helpful and diligent. She is called "the vein whisperer” on 5400. She is an amazing nurse who calls no attention to herself.
This week we had a patient who speaks Spanish. She was randomly assigned to Casey. Casey speaks a little Spanish and explained, in Spanish, to the patient that she would be her nurse and that she spoke a little bit of Spanish. The patient was thrilled to be able to communicate. Unfortunately, Casey's abilities did not match the patent's expectations. Casey downloaded an app from her phone and was able to communicate with the patient the entire day. The patient was so happy to be able to have a conversation with a friendly, caring, and competent nurse.
This kind of going a mile for a patient is not unusual for Casey, she is a true leader.
