My grandmother, who raised me and is more of a mother, passed away on Christmas morning this year in the Swedish Edmonds Hospital. In the days leading up to her death, Cary was the night nurse and he was wonderful. He was so patient with my family and explained everything that was going on. The medical care he provided was excellent but the respect and decorum Cary provided Nanny and my family was so appreciated during such a difficult time. I remember waking up in her room in the early hours of the morning to find Cary telling her a story to make her laugh. His compassion is an example of the finest care that I and the community in Edmonds have come to expect at Swedish. Please tell Cary thank you for me as I think of his expert care and kindness through the grieving process.
