My mother was in Carla's care while on comfort care and not only did she care for my mom, but she also cared for the entire family. She made sure we had food, something to drink, my mother's husband was cold and she got a warm blanket and wrapped him up. Although we were not sure my mom was able to hear us, she always took the time to speak to her as though she could hear her. She came in often and made sure not only that mom was comfortable, but the entire family was comfortable. She was the epitome of what a nurse should be: caring, compassionate, giving, and even cried with us when mom took her last breath. She has truly found her calling.
