Brittney is a dedicated nurse who does everything she can to make her patients feel safe and well cared for. We had a patient who was a rude to everyone, confused, and had been trying to inflict injury to others. That night she took her time and a good majority of the night to help him understand what was going on and what the plan of care was. He became more confused and started threatening the staff. She calmly talked to him for the rest of the night when he was awake and ensured him that we are just trying to help him. She also helped him call his family when he was upset and let them talk to him because she felt that hearing a loving voice would help. She had remained calm and collected while dealing with his threats and that is why I look up to her and aspire to be like her.
