All the nurses, doctors, CA's, cleaning staff, and cafeteria staff at Dell are so wonderful. Everyone seems to understand that it is a stressful thing to have your child in the hospital and be sick and/or suffering.
Brittney, in particular, seemed to recognize my daughter's anxiety was particularly high around needles/blood draws and her IV. She took the time to listen carefully to what was worrying my daughter and listened to me, who knew about several failed IV attempts and 2 IV's that leaked fluids in her arm and had to be removed and started over. Brittney took the time to get a second opinion.
What impressed me the most about Brittney was that she took the time to connect with my daughter the next day - even though she was no longer assigned to her - and check in to see how she was doing. She also sat down with her and talked to her in general about my daughter's anxiety and how she can deal with it in the future.
