...My dad was admitted for abdominal pains and was in an extreme amount of pain. He had a very long miserable day waiting to see if surgery was needed. He was in agony and was becoming more sick to the point of losing him when heart rate and blood pressure dropped. Brittany took excellent care of him, watched him so closely and kept in contact with the physician. She was kind and considerate with all family members. She took the time to answer questions and comfort him and us as we stood there crying. She respected us as we prayed around him and did everything she could to get help quickly when things went bad.

Later that night my dad had the operation then went to ICU to recover. Next morning Brittany and the charge nurse (who was also great) came to ICU to check on him. Now if that is not going the extra mile, I'm not sure what is. She took time out of her busy schedule to check on a patient she only knew about 12 hours. This meant so very much to all of us and we feel that she is deserving of the DAISY Award. Our family felt that she was an angel on earth sent to take care of my dad and us when we needed her so very much.
