Last Friday I ended up under the care of Nurse Brian Guvenir with some heart concerns along with Atrial Fibrillation. That was very fortunate for me, as he took care of everything! Over the next few days he coordinated X-Ray's, tests, appointments, meals or no meals all the while explaining everything to me and my wife.

The result was that a pace maker was installed successfully. Everything was successful because of Brian's efforts to explain each step, what was going to happen and what to expect! Especially important was the discharge instruction and care the initial week with the heart pacemaker. This even included how to dress so as not to disturb the pacemaker, wiring and the incision.

Brian's knowledge of what was involved and what we would be going through the following week and then onward was so clearly discussed and documented that there was no other option than for everything to work out well. While I was impressed with all the staff I interacted with there at Providence Alaska, Brian stood out as making the extra effort to insure I was aware of what was going to happen and what was expected of me.

By explaining everything and what my options were, Brian demonstrated a very knowledgeable, proficient, professional and confident capability that allowed me to relax and know that everything was being taken care of!

Thank You!
