I was on-call for the cath lab last weekend. The cath lab call team consists of a skeleton crew of 3, usually a nurse and two cardiovascular technologists. Brian brought us a patient from the ER who was coding, and receiving CPR. After moving the patient onto the table and getting him situated for the ensuing heart cath, it would have been perfectly acceptable and common practice for all ER players to return to their department. Brian stayed to help me (I was the circulating nurse). He pushed meds, performed CPR, whatever was necessary "code wise", freeing me up to circulate the very busy case. What a blessing to me! I don't ever take help from another department for granted. Thank you, Brian
