We had a patient from the Marshal Islands who was very skeptical about all of the care she was receiving. The family spoke limited English, so it took some time to explain everything to them. Bose Adeyeye was her nurse one day. She took the time to explain everything to the patient and family in ways that they could understand. This meant so much to the patient and family. Not only did she explain medical care, but she also took the time to get to know a little bit about the patient's daughter. Bose found out that the patient and family member had recently been going to church, but they didn't quite understand what everything meant. So, Bose spent more time with this patient and family and was able to witness to the daughter. This patient's family member decided to accept Jesus into her heart and become saved that day. It is situations like this that truly make a nurse special. The fact that she took the time for not only the patient but the family as well is amazing. She helped this family feel comfortable and feel like their mother was being cared for. She helped build trust. Bose always goes above and beyond to help her patients feel safe and taken care of. She takes her time and even advocates for her staff members and patients daily. She truly embodies the mission of this hospital and we are all so lucky to have her on our team!
