Bonnie Hazelgrove found an opportunity to serve our patient community and exemplify patient and family centered care.
At Thanksgiving Bonnie reached out to our patients’ families by organizing a Thanksgiving dinner for all the families that were here with their loved ones. She asked her co-workers to participate in order to have a successful dinner and show our families that we care. She assigned dishes, drinks, desserts, etc. to her co -workers and had a sign-up sheet for volunteers, and asked others to come early to set up the conference room for buffet style dinner and Thanksgiving decorations.
Bonnie was able to go above standard nursing care and reach out to our patients’ families.
