Bobby has made a significant difference in my patient care experience and I felt it was important for me to take the time to acknowledge the star you are so lucky to have employed at your organization.
I underwent a 9-hour spinal fusion back surgery. I was transferred from the city to ORMC for rehab. On arrival at the unit, I encountered many struggles regarding pain management along with mixed emotions and the fear of not knowing what to expect on this 2-week plan for inpatient rehab. The first night seemed to never end and the morning I thought would never come.
In the morning I was pleasantly greeted by Bobby. His professionalism, caring and compassionate demeanor and absolute love for his job were evident from the minute he introduced himself. Bobby took the time to listen attentively. He made me feel important, involved in my care and hopeful that maybe this rehabilitation wouldn't be so bad after all. Bobby took the time to address my concerns, reassured me and most importantly made me feel like I was a priority and always managed to do it with a smile. Bobby had a way of making days that I felt crummy, not be so bad. I never felt like "just another patient" on Bobby's assignment. Bobby never rushed, he took his time and made sure that I was okay. More importantly, he followed through and always came back to check on me without me having to call for him. He never made me feel like I was asking for too much. Bobby did more than what was "expected" of him. He went above and beyond to make sure that I received the best possible care and best patient experience possible. Bobby is an exceptional nurse whom any patient would be lucky to have, and he sets the bar very high as well as lives up to the standard of what a model healthcare professional is.
