... I came to the ER, expecting they would not end up admitting me into the hospital. So when they admitted me, I was upset, nervous and having anxiety. I was alone up here because family live out of state. Beth was my nurse for the first 2 days. She really helped calm my nerves with everything I had going on with checking in on me a lot, also talking to me about how I was feeling. She also talked to me about what I can expect from the surgery that I was going to have. All the information she shares really because I never had any surgeries so didn't know what to expect. She was always upbeat and positive every time she came to check on me. If I needed anything she always went out of her way to try to be in the room. She also stayed with me when the surgeon came to talk to me to help me if I had any questions later. I could tell by how attentive she was that she really likes/loves nursing.

I have visited plenty of people I care about in the other hospital and I have to say that Beth is the best nurse I have seen. She gets to know her patients, so she can be there for them. She is the best nurse for me while I was going through all of this, because if not I would have been a complete nervous mess. She always reassured me I would be okay and get through this, not to be scared because I am in good hands and I have one of the best surgeons to perform my surgery.

I just believe Beth really deserves this award, because out of all my nurses, she was the best on that always went above and beyond.
