Although we are very appreciative of ALL the nurses in the ward, Ben went above and beyond his abilities. He was not only compassionate about our daughter but was the same way with us. Explaining every procedure and medication and was thorough in answering all our questions and concerns. He was and is a very compassionate and caring individual not once fazed by our questions or concerns and took great pains in keeping our daughter comfortable and calm. When we heard about the DAISY award we thought undoubtedly of nominating Ben; we may never be able to repay him for his time and compassion towards our daughter and ourselves so we thought this gesture would show how appreciative we are of him. As our daughter is better today and gets better daily we express our heartfelt thanks and God's Blessings to A.I.D.H.C God Bless!

Ben is/was awesome. I really appreciated his kindness and patience with my daughter. He was extremely caring and knowledgeable and helped me to understand the "game plan" from day to day. The PICU is VERY lucky to have Ben as a part of the team. Ben along with the other nursing staff helped me to feel comfortable and confident when I left the hospital from time to time to tend to other obligations.

Ben is an amazing nurse. He explains everything that he is doing and does anything that he can not only for his patient but for their family members as well. He is a real asset to this hospital and I cannot thank him enough. He went above and beyond and did so many things I cannot even put them all on paper.

Ben showed true compassion while initiating comfort care to a patient. His skills as an RN shined as he not only took care of the patient but also her family. He was an amazing advocate for his patients' course of care, and ensured she was comfortable the entire time. Ben is a true blessing to the PICU department!
