I had a tubal ligation. Then I found out I was pregnant. It was not only shocking it was hard on us. We have 4 children ages 9, 7, 2, and 8 months old and we just bought a small farm in rural Ohio. My spouse took on a football coach position for our son's school football team on top of building semi-trucks for a living. Needless to say, we had and have our plate full. To complicate matters, I was admitted into a hospital for placenta accrete, 30 weeks pregnant I collapsed losing 4 units of blood before I reached the OR. Once I woke up in the recovery room, I was informed my daughter will be admitted into Dayton Children's Hospital.
Along came my little girl. The moment I stepped into the 5th floor NICU I was overwhelmed. The Nurses here are amazing. So many of them are so kind, so thoughtful, so encouraging. Ben is by far my favorite Nurse. He has been someone that my spouse and I enjoy seeing. I appreciate all the Nurse's here who work so hard. Who help get our children strong and healthy? These Nurses are outstanding human beings. To all the nurses in the NICU thank you for uplifting our spirits, thank you for holding our daughter while we are away. It means the world to us. While my daughter is here, I rest easy knowing she's in excellent caring hands.
Thank you, Ben, for the heart-to-heart talks, for the comforting words, and always greeting us with a smile. For a family like us who are enduring so much that kind of compassion brighten up's our day. Lastly, to the doctor's and surgeons who have helped, thank you, you are incredible and forever in my heart.
