I brought my daughter to the ER due to complications she was experiencing from pneumonia. My two-year-old was not feeling (well), overly tired and apprehensive. I expected my daughter to hit a brick wall and immediately become uncooperative and difficult to manage. My daughter's nurse was a wonderful man named Ben. Immediately when Ben entered the room he noticed M retreated and did not want someone examining her. Ben gradually warmed up to her and from that moment on, gained a friend. Whether it was dancing with M, watching a brief moment of a show or bringing her popsicles to make her happy. Ben was a smiling face that made the day go by much smoother. He continuously kept us informed of all procedures and timelines and more importantly, kept my daughter calm and entertained.
My two-year-old is still talking about Ben after our short visit. I would like to thank Ben for what is probably, for him, a typical day at work.
