10 years ago, I was diagnosed with CIPD, which can be a debilitating disease if not caught early enough and treated correctly. After seeing several doctors, I was sent to CMH to receive monthly treatments to help keep me walking and living my everyday life. Becky is the nurse who takes care of me every month when I come for my treatments of IVIG. I have been coming to CMH since my diagnosis for these treatments and after so many treatments my veins have become difficult to find. Becky takes extra care to find my veins and can usually get the IV in on the first try.
In the last two years, I started having trouble with my insurance wanting to pay for my treatments at CMH and they wanted me to start having my treatments at home. This would be detrimental to my health because I need to be monitored while receiving treatments. Becky has helped me to fight with my insurance company by making several calls on my behalf to my doctor in Louisville and sending info to the insurance and doctor's office. My doctor's office acted as though they weren't going to fight the insurance and have me do my treatments at home. This was very upsetting and stressful for me as I know that without the constant attention that I get from Becky at Clark, it would greatly affect my health and wellbeing. I truly believe that if it was not for Becky's perseverance, the insurance company would not have let me continue my treatments at CMH. Finally, my insurance approved it for another year. She used her compassion and knowledge to get through the red tape and help me when I needed it the most. Becky truly cares for her patients and goes above and beyond to ensure I receive quality care.
