I would like to thank my nurse Audra Hover from South One unit for the excellent nursing skills she demonstrated during my short stay with her unit. Every time she entered my room she would always ask if I had any pain or discomfort. Her mannerisms were always so friendly. She would ask me if there was anything she could help me with. Any time I needed help in my room she was always there quickly with a huge smile on her face. Audra always explained to me the different medications she was giving me and any procedures that were coming up for me. My stay at her unit was short at just 2 days, but she made it so enjoyable for me.
From the time I entered the ER on Saturday to when I left by the front door the next day, I was overwhelmed by the professionalism and caring attitude of every attendant, nurse, and doctor that took care of me and how clean and modern the facility is. We can be proud to have such a wonderful hospital in our area.
After my short time in the ER for AFib, I was assigned to a room in 1 South and was settled in by an excellent nurse. She was efficient and friendly. She gave me all the welcome material and information about my condition. She helped me get comfortable in my room which was at the end of the hall, very quiet and roomy.
My next nurse, Audra Hover, her assistant, and the aide, were with me for the rest of my stay. They made me feel totally safe and at ease. Audra was in total control, very warm and professional.
I had a quiet night but in the morning my condition became very unpredictable. Audra handled the situation with authority and I had no fear. With her expert experience in analyzing the situation, before I knew it my doctor was there with the anesthetist to perform the procedure that would bring my condition back to normal. The procedure was originally scheduled for Monday. I am forever grateful to all of them for their speed and efficiency.
When my heart went back to normal and we could relax, I rested for a while then was given something to eat which was delicious. When I felt strong enough and Audra attended to the paperwork for my release I was ready to leave. I am sure my situation took more time than Audra had for all the patients she was responsible for, but she never made me feel rushed. She did everything with a smile and I was thankful for the excellent care. She was a wonderful leader for the assistant and the aide. They were an excellent team. The words on the board "Feel Good" was inspiring to me. Thank you all.
