...Ashley has continued to grow and has moved through the classic stages of Novice to Expert. She has finely tuned her abilities from many hours of direct observation and care. She shows concern for her patients and their significant others, treating them like they were her own family members. It is not unusual to see Ashley just visiting for a few moments with her patients, taking a few extra minutes to show she cares. She has graduated to a Shift Coordinator on the Medical-Surgical Unit and has cross-trained to the Intensive Care Unit to help with staffing there when needed. Ashley has a great sense of humor and a soft heart. She can tell it like it is and give orders when she has to "get things done" but she is also one of the first to thank another unit or staff member if they have helped her or her department when things get tough. Ashley is great at prioritizing and helping out co-workers in need. She exudes customer service and caring and we are very proud to have her as a part of our team. Ashley is extraordinary, compassionate and a worthy DAISY Honoree.
