A few weeks ago, my siblings and I traveled to Columbus to see my dad who was recently admitted to the intensive care unit. My father was on a ventilator, had multiple organ failure, unresponsive and had a terrible prognosis. We are all in our early 20's and none of us were prepared to see him in this condition. Asha was the most wonderful, loving and inspiring person anyone could wish for in such a situation. She demonstrated compassion and understanding well above her job duties. She explained my father's conditions honestly and did not dumb down the facts because of our ages, but she also managed to help us have faith in a hopeless situation. She hugged us, let us cry and answered every question no matter how small.
I believe my dad managed to survive, get taken off the ventilator and is now without any deficit as a result of her faith and her amazing patient care. My whole family will be forever grateful for the love and perseverance she showed.
