Archer is an outstanding Perioperative Nurse and leader. In the OR, he performs the duties of the Circulating Nurse and is one of the ORs Primary Floor Coordinators. The Floor Coordinator "runs the board" ensuring all the scheduled and unscheduled surgical cases of the day run smoothly. The Floor Coordinator has to work with multiple disciplines throughout the day, from Anesthesia, Surgeons, Nurses, Techs, and other ancillary staff throughout CRDAMC ensuring that our patient's journey through the surgical continuum is seamless. As a Floor Coordinator, Archer is one of the best and a true professional.
While performing direct patient care as a Circulating RN, Archer is an expert. As an Air Force Nurse Corps retiree, he brought to CRDAMC a wealth of nursing knowledge and he selflessly shares his expertise with our team: his leaders, peers, novice nurses, surgical techs, and students. Archer has other additional duties to include being the service nurse for Opthalmology, and he steps in and performs the duties of the OR CNOIC in their absence.
Archer's clinical skills and compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse our patients, their families, and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. He is the epitome of an extraordinary nurse. CRDAMC and Perioperative Nursing Section are lucky to have Archer as part of our team!
