Aracelli is an amazing nurse and she absolutely left an everlasting impact on me. I went in for what was supposed to be a simple surgery on my foot. Unfortunately, I had a reaction to a medication that was given to me and she was very quick acting. She used her assessment skills and critical thinking to formulate a course of action for me. She held my hand while tears ran down my face due to the fear that was consuming my body. Aracelli was my advocate, my hero. She stayed with me throughout the entire process and even after her shift ended, she came up to my room that I had been transferred to just to see how I was doing. Her eyes lit up when she saw me and she gave me the biggest hug. Since family is not allowed in this department immediately after a procedure, she was all I had. She made me feel like she was all I needed. As former nurse on the floor myself and a current nurse practitioner, that speaks wonders. She has been blessed with a remarkable gift for helping others. I hope and pray I can visit Aracelli one day.
