Anne is a very special nurse who consistently goes above and beyond for her patients and her co-workers. Anne volunteered to work full time at the City of Detroit COVID-19 Testing Tent site at the Michigan State Fairgrounds from mid-March through June 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Anne willingly took on a leadership/charge role at the site, in a collaborative of two other health systems and the City of Detroit, to provide drive-through testing for COVID-19 suspect patients at the height of the pandemic.
Anne was out there every day, in all kinds of weather conditions, offering encouragement, compassion, and kindness. Anne took care to explain the procedure to the patient, provide follow-up instructions, and helped coach and train other staff. Anne was recognized by the City of Detroit for her leadership and her caring. I can't thank Anne enough for all that she did for the patients, for our city, and our organization!
