Anna Biser goes above and beyond on a daily basis to give the best care while including the families. She was the MICU representative to the patient satisfaction team and has worked with all staff in the MICU to improve understanding of patient’s expectations. She developed the PRIDE acronym that we used for the kick off of proactive rounding.

We have received several letters from families about Anna’s care and below are excerpts in the family’s words about Anna,

“In addition to giving our daughter excellent care, she was also very patient in answering our many questions. If it was something she couldn’t answer, she found us answers! All the nurses were good, but Anna was great.”

“W has been on this floor for several weeks and the nurses listed above have been so caring and compassionate to Wanda and the family. It has been a very trying time for W’s family. Anna was very professional and caring – she went beyond just caring.”

She includes families, if available, in all discussions and in assisting with care.

She works with younger staff to stress the importance of family centered care. As one of the senior staff she is able to role model family centered care and as a charge nurse she maintains order in the unit while allowing families to remain at the bedside.
