Anita is the most caring and compassionate nurse I have had for care. She takes the time to actually talk to me and get to know me, shares empathy, and is extremely courteous. I feel like we have known each other for a long time, and if she had been in my daily life we would have been good friends. She is also extremely well on-time, never once have I had to push my call button to request a medication that was late. She updates my info board in my room frequently and is very diligent on updating my pain medicine schedule on it, so I never have to press my call button to ask when I'm able to receive my next dose.
She also keeps me very informed on what's coming up next whether it be antibiotics coming in 2 hours, oral meds coming at 3 am, etc. She also has a wonderful sense of humor which I myself like to joke a lot and I've had other nurses not reciprocate nearly as well as she does. She has also taken the time to talk about my history, 3 heart surgeries and 1 upcoming heart surgery, what I like to do for hobbies, asks questions about my genetic condition, and much more; she is a fantastic conversationalist, an exemplary model of a perfect Nurse, and I can only wish that she continues to be my nurse every night that I continue to be a patient here. She is a true DAISY Nurse and I would be beyond thrilled to see her wear a DAISY Award pin on her scrubs! I even had a couple of little tears of happiness and respect writing this for her :) A truly and genuinely Outstanding Exemplary Nurse, a model for which other nurses can look up to. Couldn't be any better! Thank You!
