She creates a culture among the nurses to be an advocate for pediatric patients and their families. Mrs. Marin's knowledge and dedication to family-centered care have made her an asset to not only our unit, but the UC Davis Health System.
Mrs. Marin treats her staff with compassion, respect, and encourages them all to be the best nurses they can be. She motivates her staff to pursue professional development. Mrs. Marin provides resources and inspires the staff with her vision that we, as a team, can achieve better outcomes for ourselves and our patients. She has an open- door policy and makes staff feel welcome into her office at any time. Mrs. Marin has taken her enthusiasm for human kindness to the community. She has led the unit, and hospital in on-going community service activities such as, but not limited to, Foster Youth Emancipation Baskets, senior citizen tote bags, and Backpacks for Volunteers of America yearly school drive. Mrs. Marin is committed to allowing hospitalized children and families to participate in holidays.
