My mother was a 90-year-old chronic COPD patient diagnosed with influenza B. Events went downhill rapidly in the evening, when Angela came on duty for the 11 pm-7 am shift. She did everything she could to make my mom comfortable, she was compassionate and caring, in and out of the room at least 15 times during the night (I was there all night). I do not believe that Angela ever sat down during that shift. I am sure that she kept my mom alive long enough for her to speak to her son that Sunday afternoon. By Monday morning, my mother became unresponsive and was put in comfort care. I am a 40+ year employee of Boone Hospital Center. As a fellow employee, I am proud to be associated with her.
