Andrew was an excellent nurse. He was quiet and patient. He was professional, but also very caring and thoughtful. He was on time with all my meds and explained each of them. He explained procedures clearly and detailed. He went the extra mile to locate doctors, make calls, or track down PAs in the ICU to answer my questions and concerns. He was attentive to me and my wife by always stopping and listening. He never left my room without asking me (and looking at me, not rushing out) if I needed anything else or had any questions.
Andrew treated me like I was important. I know ICU unit is very serious and Andrew's service and patient care (even late night and early morning) made my extreme fear of even being in the ICU so much calmer, comfortable, and much less fearful. Andrew made a positive difference in my recovery and attitude. Today is my birthday and the doctor is amputating my leg. I have tons of fears and am just plain scared, however, Andrew made me feel very important and made a difference in my life today.
