Nickey can not only fulfill but also anticipate a patient’s needs. She has the ability to both anticipate and mitigate problems as they arise.
Nickey is always cheerful, helpful, and willing to offer her assistance. One day, Nickey was charge nurse for the 5th Floor. It was a challenging day with many discharges and complicated cases. Nickey continually offered assistance throughout the day while remaining calm and helpful. She goes over and above her role and is a huge asset to this facility.

I would like to nominate Nickey for her exceptional interdisciplinary communication. Specifically with informing the Physical Therapy department of updates regarding patient discharge. Case Management had set-up discharge planning for a patient and Nickey contacted Physical Therapy to inform me of the discharge plan and family training to ensure a safe discharge. This is just one of the many situations when Nickey has gone above and beyond in communicating pertinent information to support staff to ensure successful treatment and discharge of 5th Floor patients.

Today and every day I think that Nickey should be recognized for her professional approach towards her work as both a bedside RN and charge RN. She's a nurse who has exceptional listening and speaking skills. You can always count on her to solve problems with her effective communication with patients and families. In addition, she is a nurse who can not only fulfill but also anticipate a patient's needs. She has the ability to both anticipate and mitigate problems as they arise. Her personality and sense of humor make it fun to work with her. Nickey is a remarkable nurse!
