I would like to celebrate and shout about the extraordinary work that Amanda does on a daily basis for the OPAT team.
She is an inspiration, constantly innovating and thinking of solutions to challenges. Nothing is too much trouble for her, and no challenge is too great. She is a 'doer', working tirelessly for the service, leading by example, and continually exploring ways to improve the patient experience. She has the wonderful ability to problem solve, finding solutions that others might not see, and always with a smile and a high level of energy. Her passion and vision for the service are an inspiration and are truly infectious. At the heart of everything she does is the patient. She passionately wants them to receive the best care possible and will go out of her way to ensure this happens.
Amanda is an incredibly kind, considerate, and caring person who works so hard for her patients and for every member of the OPAT team. She is always accessible, never minding a telephone call, even when she is off duty. She is always happy to talk things through and offer her support and advice. This level of care is really appreciated and valued by me and the whole team.
Her thoughtfulness, encouragement, and positivity are truly inspiring. She notices everything! After a member of the team completed a piece of work for OPAT, Amanda took the time to give genuine thanks, and the following day, that person received flowers and a thank you card at home. This meant so much and made that person feel incredibly valued. Kindheartedness from Amanda is the norm. She takes time to thank her staff for their work and always notices when they go that extra mile, never failing to acknowledge it. Amanda is a wonderful nurse!
