A patient was in IMC and Amanda was her nurse. When the patient was back again, Amanda recognized and remembered her and our family. During both stays Amanda went out of her way to care for the patient not only as a professional but as someone who genuinely cares. She interacted with her like she was family. Amanda was also very kind and caring with our family. She showed much compassion when the patient chose to not pursue any more procedure or treatments. She asked often how we were doing, provided a box of tissue when we were talking to the Doctor, and was just a great picture of skill, professionalism, gentleness caring and compassion. The patient and our family were and are so appreciative of Amanda. We pray that God continues to work through her to touch lives in a special way.

Amanda cared for my brother; at all times she provided high quality care and took pride in her work. She demonstrated authentic empathy toward my brother and the family. When he was moved to ICU she called me to let me know all the details and where and when this action took place. You are very fortunate to have Amanda in your organization.

My father was hospitalized several times before his death. Amanda was his favorite. She always made him smile and always gave him the best care.

Amanda is exceptional in her knowledge of nursing. She displays herself as a very caring, giving, fun and professional nurse at all times. Amanda really helped ease my anxiety and fear of my upcoming major operation. In my opinion Amanda is a great asset to Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

Amanda is an amazing nurse who frequently goes above and beyond to ensure that her patients' needs are met. She always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude that is not only uplifting to her patients but also her co-workers.

One specific patient comes to mind when completing my leadership rounding that the patient reported he would not have made it through without Amanda. He was scheduled to have surgery and during the days prior to surgery her upbeat attitude, laughter, and genuine smile were the only things that helped keep his anxiety level down and calm until the day of surgery. The patient as well as his family could not say enough about how wonderful Amanda was and the care she provided. Amanda promised this patient she would be working when he transferred back to IMC and she picked up an overtime shift in order to keep that promise.

Amanda's infectious laughter and smile is a common compliment that her patients find so comforting.
