Allison was driving to work in the morning and witnessed a car swerve into her lane. Allison started honking her horn as the car drove into the bushes. The person never hit the brakes. Allison stopped and ran to the scene of the accident. Nearby, 15 men were working outside. The doors of the car were locked, so the window had to be broken. Upon assessment the lady was breathing then she went blue. Allison then asked the men to take the woman out of the car and placed her on Allison's yoga mat because there was glass all over the ground. Allison started CPR and then showed the men how to do compressions (where to place hands and push down). The lady started breathing again and they continued CPR until EMS arrived.
Allison explained to EMS what happened, and the men came up to hug and thank her. They said that if she did not honk her horn, they would not have looked up and would have been run over. She saved not one, but 16 lives. The patient had a heart attack while driving and was transferred to one of the area hospitals for a heart cath.
