She helped me feel a lot better today. She helped me get in the shower today and it was nice to know that people care about you. She also gave me a new pillow cover that I really liked. After I was done with my shower, she reminded me of what I was fighting for. That no matter what, I was going to work hard to be okay. That my condition was something I could handle and I was going to come out victorious. No matter what was happening right now, I have my whole life ahead of me and that this condition was not going to win. She asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up and she said that I was going to work to get that job and become her boss as a pediatrician. Today my nurse Alissa told me that I am beautiful and that it does not matter how we look on the outside. All that matters is that we are okay and healthy. She really inspired me and helped me have a better day. She said that I had to work hard and that she did not want to see me back here again because she wanted to see me healthy. My mom and I both appreciate her so much. Alissa said that it was going to be a lot and that this situation that I'm in is a lot but that we are going to get out of this. This is why my nurse is special.
