Aimee is a kind and caring nurse on Dodd 3. She often takes the time to make her patients feel special. So she stepped right up, with no hesitation, when a unique opportunity arose late Friday afternoon.

One of our patients had a dream to walk down the aisle at her son's wedding and be part of his special weekend. Aimee helped to make this dream a reality. She escorted the patient across the state to the rehearsal dinner Saturday afternoon and then to a full day of wedding activities including the ceremony and reception on Sunday. Aimee was right by her side both days to ensure that her pain was well managed, she took her medications on time, she took time to rest, and most of all that she was able to spend this time with her family and friends. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for our patient. Aimee, through her nurturing and compassion, helped to make this a very special weekend for our patient and her family.

This is just one example of how extraordinary Aimee is. She represented Dodd Rehabilitation and OSUWMC in such a positive way for this patient and everyone that attended these wedding events.
