Adam found out that my dad is a veteran and having a bad day. He went to visit him in his room, talked with him and thanked him for his service. He also asked if he could pray with him, which he really needed at that time. My dad called me the next morning to tell me about his visitor. He was really impressed by it and so am I. When good people go out of their way to help someone or comfort them it makes the world a better place. Adam made my dad have a better day when he was down and that is a beautiful thing.

My dad is a veteran and he has been in the hospital for several days. He has cancer, and a ton of other things going on. One morning he told me he found out the day before that they found 3 more spots on his liver, so he was very down. I went to see him after work and he was wearing his veteran's hat. I realize that Veteran's Day wasn't for a few more days, but he took his hat off and laid it in his lap saying, "I wore this all day and not one person said Happy Veteran's Day." This broke my heart. When I got home I posted something on Facebook about how we as a country do not recognize former services members or the impact a thank you has. A friend from school noticed my message and said that Adam was going to stop by and see my dad. Adam totally made my dad's night. They talked for a while, Adam prayed for my dad, they both cried. My dad called me crying and told me what had happened. Adam is a true angel!
