I was in the hospital for four days at the beginning of May. I came out of surgery and had all great nurses however one really stood out to me. It was my second day when I met Aaron Conn. He came in that morning and the night nurse introduced him to me. Aaron came back later and he started talking to me about how I was and did a complete check of me.

As I got to know him over the next couple of days, I noticed how caring he was and the attention to detail he had for everything he did. He would come in on his rounds and check on me and encouraged me to walk as much as I could even though I did not feel like it. He came in all three days he was there and made boxes on the whiteboard so my wife could write down how many laps I walked. Also, I noticed he was very careful to wash his hands and wear gloves. He asked me what my pain level was and if there was anything he could get for me every time he came in. In the evenings, he would stop by and check on me before he went home and tell me he would see me the next day.

On the day I was discharged, he went over my discharge instructions and asked me questions to make sure I understood them. When I was ready to leave, he went to the car with me, helped me get situated, and wished me good luck on my recovery. I thought over the next few days and weeks that whoever he was taking care of was getting exceptional care and were lucky to have him for a nurse.
