York has been a nurse in the CCU/CVICU at Hoag since 1989 and is a clinical expert. Considered by her peers to be a natural teacher and superb patient advocate, York is known for staying calm while under stress and being a no nonsense person with extremely effective interpersonal skills. Over the years she has garnered the respect and admiration of staff, physicians and surgeons. Her colleagues have expressed that she is not only a great nurse but also a great person and that no one deserves recognition more than York for all her hard work over the years.
