So many times in hospitals patients and family members take for granted the people who take care of our loved ones and consider it as "just doing their job". But every now and then there comes along a nurse like Valerie Mallory. She exemplifies everything good and positive about nursing. My niece has been in and out of hospitals since October 2010 and I must say that Valerie is probably one of the best nurses that she has had during this time. She is very knowledgeable, answered every question that I asked, explaining things so I could understand. She is compassionate and caring which showed when she was taking care of my niece. She is so thorough and made sure that everything was in order before leaving the room; taking extra care to provide total and complete care with patience and kindness.

Emory is blessed to have a nurse like Valerie and so are her patients. She is an asset to Emory.
