1) A rapid response was called and a resident arrived. Resident started telling Trisha to prescribe, patient in renal failure. Trisha didn't feel comfortable giving the patient Bumex, Lasix, Morphine and something else. Resident left room right afterwards. Trisha, advocating for the patient, called down to ICU and talked with the ICU doctor who produced two different directives/prescriptions. RRT that responded also thought Trisha was correct in questioning order. I appreciate the opportunity to work with great nurses. --B.K. (employee)

2) I was a late admission to the hospital and in excruciating pain. I was feeling dreadful when I was greeted by a wonderful, cheerful "angel" named Trisha. She was my admission nurse. She really tuned into my situation and got me pain medication almost immediately knowing it would take some time to work, began chatting with me about this and that and before I knew it she had me laughing. She was very relaxed, caring and compassionate. I really enjoyed her personality (a real people person) and individual attention so much that I had a choice of staying one more day or go home. I was inclined to go home until I found out if I stayed Trisha would be my nurse. Needless to say, because she would be my nurse I chose to stay because I knew I would get great care--beyond the call of duty! S.D. (patient)
