I am a nurse in the ER at University. I wanted to start by saying I fell in love with the staff in the ER. I came in post op for dehydration, N/V, generalized pain and stomach pain. The staff did the best they could before I was headed to 5 South. I'm not sure last names for the awesome staff I was given, but Cris, PCA who told me jokes and talked to me when I was lonely, Dolly, HUC was all smiles all the time, and Katie, RN & Katie, PCA were both very sweet. Last but not least, Tracy, RN was amazing. She also stopped to talk to me for a little while and has "put up with me" for 3 days. Tracy was very attentive and nice. She even put lotion on my back because I was so itchy.

The thing that touched me the most didn't happen to me. My husband informed me this morning because of one simple kind act. My 4, almost 5 year old occasionally sits by a window looking for his Nene in heaven. My mother, his "Nene", passed away suddenly recently and he had left the room to look out the big window. My husband went looking for him and found him sitting on the floor with my nurse, Tracy. She told Aiden all about the trucks and what they are building. Besides being an awesome nurse, she took the time to talk to my son. She deserves a million thank you's.
