Teri is an amazing nurse, great teacher, an excellent charge nurse. She's so smart and so caring. A patient passed away on the floor today and Teri was so compassionate, caring, and understanding. The family hugged her and thanked her as they left. She also helped with a bath, she's just the best! She cares about the patients as she would her own family members. She buys good shampoo and conditioner, lotion that smells amazing and uses them on the patients, plus takes her time with the details of combing, brushing, fluffing etc. The patients smile through their E.T. Tube. The patient's family members are happy and relieved when she's the nurse. I love when she's charge, she's a leader!

My grandma spent over 2 weeks in the ICU unit. Being sedated and on a ventilator, she was limited in her ability to communicate with family and staff. But the amount of compassion and empathy shown by Teri towards my grandma cannot go by without being recognized. Best example was one day as my grandma was being weaned off the ventilator, she had a bad day. Her heart rate shot up and respiration rate also went up. She was very tachypneic and was then sedated to help her relax. Seeing my grandma regress from weaning concerned me, but it was Teri who reassured me that this is normal. Teri was made aware that my grandma was very self-conscious about her appearance. Teri would take the time to braid her hair which my grandma and family greatly appreciated. We couldn't have asked for a better nurse. Thank you Teri for all that you did. You're an amazing nurse and truly a patient advocate.

Teri took really good care of my father when he was in CCU. She washed his hair and scalp really well. She also combed and combed his hair to get rid of his 'cradle cap'. His scalp and hair looked better than it has in a long time! She went above and beyond! I've never witnessed a nurse perform such tasks. She was also very, very nice and never seemed to mind answering all our questions. We wanted to take her with us when our father moved to PCU! We appreciate all her efforts. The aforementioned examples are but a few of the things Teri did to go above and beyond.
