Sue is well known at our hospital for having a "can do" attitude. She is a kind person and respected by all. Sue had a patient that had been there on the telemetry cardiac unit for an extended period of time. This patient expressed to Sue that he was so lonely and tired of being there. Sue decided to find a way to get this patient approved to go outside to the garden area at our hospital. It was no easy task because of his delicate health condition. She managed to get this patient approved for an outing to our garden and picked him some flowers so he could smell them. Sue even sang songs with this patient. Everyone noted what a positive change in this patient's attitude afterwards. This patient was forever impacted by Sue's generosity towards others. For Sue, this is normal operating procedure.
