Shayna cared for my father and did so much to help with his recovery. She helped our family during my dad's hospital as well. He had a complication with anesthesia and became extremely anxious and confused. She sat him in the doorway of his room and talked to him while working at the nurses station. This kept him engaged and changed his surroundings. He ate his meals. She took him for walks and took the time to explain things to him.

One night he was extremely frustrated and wanted to leave. I got a call asking if I could come in and help settle him, even though it was very late. A few hours passed and it was a relief to know that Shayna would be in soon. I knew he would have a good day knowing she would be there. That morning she sat my dad in the doorway and gave him a cup of coffee and informed him that breakfast would be coming soon. I was told that there wasn't enough staff to give him a companion this day, but I knew that with Shayna's help we were in for a great day.

When he has discharged, it was Shayna who took the time with my mom to make sure she understood how to care for him. The staff is great on the 1st floor. Shayna is the kindest person and she went out of her way to check on the welfare of my dad.
