During my recent open heart surgery (which was an extremely scary event for me), Shavon
provided excellent medical treatment as my ICU nurse. One would normally expect this at
CMC-Mercy. What was special and what I consider “above and beyond” was the emotional support she provided. She was my “cheerleader”, continually supporting and reinforcing and creating a positive attitude in my mind. I believe that a positive attitude in the patient of this complex and risky operation is essential for success. From the time I awoke with multiple tubes and hoses in my body, until I left the ICU, Shavon was my inspirational cheerleader. Thank you, Shavon!!
