Samantha Pozza was such a friendly face for our daughter when she arrived unexpectedly at the hospital.
She is only 17, and one afternoon she went from being a normal high school girl to being an inpatient and surgical candidate. Sam made her happy and comfortable and made her feel as normal as possible. She offered to bring her snacks. She allowed her and her I.V. drip to take a walk to Potbelly’s. Sam understood when she wanted to wash up and allowed her the freedom to do that.
Sam also spent time explaining the likely procedures that she would undergo. She printed out information sheets for her and highlighted important parts. Sam talked to her about college and nursing school.
Sam was a good mix of nurse friend and confidante for our daughter. We greatly appreciate the respect she gave our daughter during her stay.
