My name is Keith Elman and I was dropped off by a Greyhound bus to be admitted to Memorial Hospital. I’m not from Tennessee and it is a scary feeling to be in the hospital, away from home. I have been in and out of the hospital for the last 5 months for open heart surgery and then for three additional heart surgeries. I’m very sick but have been blessed by the medical staff here at Memorial Health Care System.

I have had a lot of nurses over the past 5 months and Sabrina Stover is the most amazing nurse I’ve had. She is very knowledgeable about the medications she is giving me and it is comforting to know that you are in such capable hands. Sabrina has an amazing personality, a great sense of humor, a beautiful smile, and great compassion for patients like me who are going through scary situations. Her heart is bigger than this hospital building!

Sabrina was constantly checking on me to make sure I had everything that I needed. To be honest, I felt as if my own sister was taking care of me. It was so comforting to know that my nurse truly cared about my well being and was dedicated to helping me regain my health. Sabrina truly loves being a nurse and this world would be a better place if there were more nurses like her!

I hope Sabrina will be recognized in some way for all of her hard work. It is so crucial for recovery to be able to trust the people who are caring for you. I felt like Sabrina took care of me like I was a member of her own family. She is a strong and caring person and I believe she is the main reason that I am getting better. Sabrina is truly a blessing!
