Penni is the kind of nurse who works enthusiastically and conscientiously in everything she does. Penni is known to her peers as the "organizer of the group", she ensures the paperwork is always in order and that the supplies are available to provide patient care to the traumatically injured patient. She has been recognized by every member of the team and has been identified as "the backbone of the service" on multiple occasions.

Penni comes to work in a good mood each and every shift; she immediately implements any policy changes and motivates her team mates to engage in the processes. Penni consistently goes the extra mile each shift she works. Being a State designated trauma center, the trauma service is held accountable for not only the mandatory documentation fields, but for the quality performance initiatives offered to each and every patient treated here. Penni ensures the nurses and physicians have all the appropriate tools they will need to complete the tasks required.

If you were to ask any member of the team who the backbone was they would unanimously answer "Penni". It is my pleasure to nominate Penni Joseph for this most prestigious and deserving nomination, I speak on behalf of the entire trauma service and sincerely hope she is considered for the award.
