Pat has a wonderful heart. She goes above and beyond for every one of her patients. She is always looking for learning opportunities or ways to improve. A few examples of things Pat has done for her patients include bringing in hair detangler for a patient who had very tangled hair from another hospital she had transferred from. Pat worked all night during any down time she had to detangle the patient's hair. If she had not made the effort to take time to do this - the patient would have needed to have the tangle cut out.

Another patient said "she really cares about her patients". The patient was bragging about how wonderful Pat was when she took care of her. Pat came in two hours prior to her shift to decorate the patient's room in a Hawaiian theme. The patient felt depressed and said she couldn't wait for summer. Pat made the patient feel special and created a luau in her room.

Another example is of a patient that frequently is admitted to our Pulmonary Unit. The wife is very involved and particular about the care that each nurse provides "Big Mike". The wife spoke to other caregivers about Pat. She expressed that Pat truly cared about her husband and provided great care.

You can tell by the care that Pat provides she is an extraordinary nurse and a blessing to her patients. She is a wonderful nurse!
