Monica Jurak consistently demonstrates an exceptionally high standard of patient care. Her manager consistently receives numerous patient and family compliments in regards to the care Monica delivers. She is an extremely compassionate and hard working nurse. She always puts in extra hours to ensure her patients receive the best possible patient care. Monica is also an amazing mentor on the unit and she strives every day to help her co-workers/student nurses- so they can also learn to deliver quality patient care.

Monica cares for every single patient as if they were her family member! Monica was her manager Diane's mentor when she first started out in nursing 15 years ago. Monica leads by example each and every day. Monica also cared for Diane's brother is his final days and it was such a tremendous relief for Diane's family to have Monica caring for him. My brother thought she was the best nurse on the planet!

In addition to receiving the DAISY Award for the month of April she is also being recognized this year for 25 years of service. Congratulations Monica!
