Molly Myers, RN from the Faith Community Nurses department is a deserving recipient of the DAISY Award. This registered nurse should receive the award for her clinical skills, compassionate care, exemplary service and her continued commitment to excellence.

The following is a specific example of the nominees' extraordinary commitment to patient-centered care:

Molly exemplifies the scope & practice of Faith Community Nursing (Parish Nursing) through her care and compassion in her church community, Holy Name Catholic Church. She has been active as the lead nurse for over 10 years and although retired from a paying job/career, she continues as a FCN actively in her church (non-monetary position). Her dedication and hard work has been a model for all Faith Community Nurses for years. In 2011 alone, she has charted monthly for her church/team, attended our network meetings, and made 86 home visits. Molly continues to enroll in theology classes and undoubtedly aces them all. Molly is a "reading phenom", loves the symphony and to travel (and hopefully, relax) to her place in Canada. Molly is a true health educator, health counselor, and liaison to the community as a care giving volunteer.
